Bronze, then Silver - Now it’s Gold for Pallet-Track Logistics

Pallet-Tracks Charity Partner for 2013

Leading logistics business Pallet-Track Logistics, Pallet-Track’s owned and operated depot, has rocketed from bronze to gold standard in the space of a year.

The company heard this week that it had been awarded gold status in the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS)--a voluntary accreditation scheme that promotes best practice for commercial vehicle operators. Pallet-Track Logistics was awarded bronze status last spring and silver status in December.

FORS encompasses all aspects of safety, efficiency, and environmental protection by encouraging and training fleet operators to measure, monitor and improve performance. FORS provides accreditation pathways for operators of any type, and for those organisations that award contracts and specify transport requirements.

During the past year, Pallet-Track Logistics has invested £500,000 in a Euro 6 fleet, all drivers have undergone London Safe Urban Training, all vehicles have been fitted with all-round safety cameras and the company has continued to champion fuel efficiency.

Pallet-Track founder and managing director Nigel Parkes said: “Achieving the demanding standards required for gold accreditation demonstrates the determination of the company to embrace the highest possible standards to the benefit of our customers, employees and the environment.”

Pallet-Track Logistics managing director Kevin Light added: “To have gone from bronze to gold in just under a year is exceptional and a tribute to the commitment of everyone in the company to be the best in every way.”
